ARCHHIST’13

Konferans, 24-27 Nisan 2013 tarihleri arasında İstanbul'da yapılıyor.

Architecture can be described as the interaction centre of an infinite number of dynamics that proceed and differentiated by affecting each other through the history. Although the history of architecture evaluates structures, architects and periods individually, it was always recorded as the history of affecting and being affected. Connection of architecture with other disciplines can be regarded as the historical base of this plural historical identity. Every architectural act can be defined both as an impact of political transformations and as a result of individual creativity.

Politics has always been an important factor of the built environment. Directly or indirectly, history of architecture been affected by politics and ideological structures and been itself a ground of social transformation in conservative or revolutionary ways.

It seems necessary that the history of architecture should be re-evaluated every spatial entity from decoration to urban planning with an interdisciplinary perspective in relation to politics and ideology.

ARCHHIST’13 conference, covering the works re-evaluating components of architectural history from Antique Egypt to modern architecture, from local architecture to Post-modernism on the basis of political interactions, will take place on 8-10 May 2013 as the third of the A_A conference series, with the hostage of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, leadership of MSFAU History of Architecture Chair technical responsibility of DAKAM.
