Sergi açılışı 23 Şubat 2012'de Londra'da gerçekleşiyor.

Key speakers include: Peter Murray, Curator of The Developing City exhibition and Peter Wynne Rees, The City Planning Officer for the City of London.

For much of the last 2000 years the City of London has been a major mercantile centre. Simon Thurley, Chief Executive of English Heritage, has described London as "the most successful city in history". It has survived many crises - pestilence, riots, fires, bombings, bubbles, Big Bang and recessions yet remains a focus for global trading. In the current economic turbulence it faces one of its greatest challenges ever. What is the reason for the Square Mile's resilience? How have its buildings and planning responded to change over history? And how must they adapt in the future?

On behalf of NLA, London's Centre for the Built Environment, I would like to invite you to a breakfast event on Thursday 23rd February, to launch The Developing City exhibition. The launch event will take place between 08.30-09.30 am at The City Marketing Suite.

Taking place from June 21st – 9th September at The Walbrook Building, London EC4, The Developing City exhibition will examine how the physical fabric, the buildings, streets, and spaces have defined the City over the centuries and responded to the changing patterns of business.

The exhibition will include visionary images of the City of London as it might be, with teams of architects and property professionals unveiling how the Square Mile could look in 2050.

Developed by NLA, the exhibition is in association with The City of London for the London Festival of Architecture 2012. Further details of the exhibition will be released during the launch event.

To confirm your attendance, please RSVP to: rosa.hatherley@fticonsulting.com / 0207 269 9319 by Friday February 17th.
